Our Mission
Short for Developing Lebanon, Develeb is a developer-led community on a mission to upskill and elevate the quality of Lebanon's talent, leading to better opportunities and mitigating brain drain. Through our series of regular events, weekly workshops, and engaging discussions, we're fostering a vibrant community of developers in Lebanon who share knowledge, support each other, and collectively contribute to building a stronger tech ecosystem. The best part? It's all provided completely free of charge.
Why a Tech Community?
Since the pandemic and the financial crisis in 2019, Lebanon has faced significant brain drain, stagnating its tech scene. We're stepping up to reignite it, believing in our talent's potential to excel globally with proper guidance. Our goal is to provide an environment of hope, helping developers learn, build, and find better job opportunities, driving Lebanon's tech landscape forward.
Our Approach:
Our primary communication platform is WhatsApp, providing easy access to our community for all developers. With over 2800 members, our WhatsApp Community serves as a hub for Lebanese developers to connect and engage. We regularly share the latest job and internship opportunities from local and global companies, valuable resources sourced from our community members and top online outlets, and host weekly workshops covering diverse engineering topics such as "Cracking the Coding Interview" and "Writing Clean Code," among others.
